We are currently organising the Nature-based Solutions International Congress – Shaping a Resilient Future for People and Nature through Knowledge and Action, which will take place from 3 to 6 November 2026 at Sorbonne University, Paris. Conceived as a major international gathering for the NbS community, the Congress aims to represent a key milestone in advancing knowledge and collective action on Nature-based Solutions. It will bring together leading researchers, policymakers, practitioners, funders, and international organisations to foster high-level dialogue across science, governance, finance, and implementation.
Supported by the French National Research Program on Nature-based Solutions (SOLU-BIOD) which is co-led by CNRS, together with NetworkNature, UNP+ and Sorbonne University in partnership with Biodiversa+, UrbanByNature and the City of Paris, the Congress seeks to strengthen global synergies and enhance the international visibility and impact of NbS initiatives.
As one of its core events there is the Scientific Conference, a dedicated forum for presenting and discussing fundamental, interdisciplinary, participatory, and action-oriented research, while fostering dialogue across disciplines and sectors.
As part of the preparation, we have launched last week an International Call for Sessions to co-design this ambitious scientific program, inviting the global NbS community to propose thematic sessions that reflect the diversity, innovation, and transformative potential of NbS research across continents.
You are warmly invited to save the date and join us for this event !
Warm regards,
The SOLU-BIOD community
