SFE Photo Competition 2016

Open to everyone, amateur and professional (18+) !
The French Society of Ecology (SFE; www.sfecologie.org) organises this competition to enable any photographer – amateur or professional – to contribute to the diffusion of scientific ecology via the communication tools of the SFE. This contest is free and open to all, without restriction of nationality. However, an application may be rejected if the organisers or the board of SFE believe that it does not meet the rules and submission requirements.

Theme 1 – Living organism
Theme 2 – Ecosystem
Theme 3 – Human-nature relations
Theme 4 – Science in action
How to apply
Send your pictures (limited to one photo per theme) and your registration form to sfe.concoursphotos@gmail.combefore 25th August 2016 with “SFE Photo competition 2016” + the themes, in which the pictures are submitted. The format and file name must be in accordance with point 7. Submission of a photo without the filled registration form will not be accepted.
Deadlines and schedule
  • 25th August 2016: Deadline to send photos to sfe.concoursphotos@gmail.com
  • 29th August 2016: Photos are posted online on Facebook in the album “Concours photo SFE 2016”
  • 25th September 2016 : Voting closes on Facebook · Early October: Announcement of results for each topic
Prize
The winning photos will be printed on the cover of the SFE notebooks that will be available on the stands of the SFE. The winning photos will also appear on the SFE website and will be mentioned in the SFE newsletter.
Nomination of the winning photos
The winners will be selected through an open vote on Facebook as well as a vote within the governing board of the SFE. In the event that several candidates have an equal number of votes, the final decision will be based on the candidate’s membership at the SFE: a participant will win over a non-member. If they are not already members, the winners will be asked to become members of the SFE.
