Why do this course?

Career starters: Improve your chances of getting your dream conservation job by getting a qualification in a required skill for many conservation positions.
Practitioners: Learn how to plan, report on and learn from the impact your work achieves.
When is it?

This course runs from 20th February to 26th March, 2024.

What will I learn?

You will learn how to plan and report on monitoring and evaluation activities for any type of conservation project. The course covers how to:

Define project success in terms of results, objectives and tolerance limits
Set indicators to track progress and assess project success
Plan monitoring activities to track changes in the situation
Plan evaluation activities to assess how impact was achieved and how much impact was due to the project
Report impact using diagrams and charts.
What will my learning experience be like?

All our courses are designed using modern adult learning practices that build reflection, relevancy and practice to in all training materials and exercises.

At the start of each training week, you will be sent an instructional video that you can watch at your own pace and at a time that suits you best. At the end of each training week there will be a live, expert-led, online group session. This session will enable you to work together with your instructor and fellow trainees to really test out and build your confidence in the approach.

The course is run over 5 weeks, with live group sessions every Tuesday starting on 27th February. There are two live session times available each week (10:30am or 5:30pm GMT) to fit with your schedule. The total learning time per week will be 3 to 3.5 hours.
