2-year postdoc position at CESAB – meta-analysis of tree diversity effects on drought resilience

Nous avons une ouverture pour un poste de chercheur·e postdoctorant·e d’une durée de 2 ans au CESAB (Centre de Synthèse et d’Analyse sur la Biodiversité) à Montpellier. La personne retenue mènera une méta-analyse des données existantes sur les effets de la diversité des arbres sur la résilience des forêts face à la sécheresse, en utilisant des jeux de données primaires issus de différents réseaux de recherche internationaux, ainsi qu’une revue systématique de la littérature.

Ce poste postdoctoral bénéficiera du contexte exceptionnel du projet DIV4DROUGHT, qui réunit une équipe internationale d’expert·e·s reconnu·e·s en écophysiologie des arbres, en écologie des communautés forestières et en interactions climat–biosphère, avec une forte expertise en mesures de terrain, en analyses statistiques et en modélisation basée sur les processus.

We have an opening for a 2-year postdoctoral position at CESAB (French Centre for the Synthesis and Analysis of Biodiversity) in Montpellier, France. The successful candidate will conduct a meta-analysis of existing evidence for tree diversity effects on forest drought resilience, using primary datasets from different international research networks, and a systematic literature review.

This postdoctoral position will benefit from the exceptional context of the DIV4DROUGHT project, which brings together an international team of recognised experts in tree ecophysiology, forest community ecology, and climate–biosphere interactions, with strong expertise in field measurements, statistical analysis, and process-based modelling.
