En juin 2011 la Société Française d’Ecologie a soutenu une conférence sur le « Sauvetage Evolutif » organisée à Montpellier.
L’objectif de cette conférence était de synthétiser les avancés récentes sur notre compréhension du rôle des mécanismes évolutifs dans la réponse des organismes aux changements globaux.
Les vidéos des interventions sont mises en ligne sur le site internet de notre société depuis le mois d’octobre 2011 (un thème par semaine).
Ces vidéos sont ouvertes aux commentaires et nous espérons que vous serez nombreux à participer à cette expérience de conférence virtuelle.
Les auteurs vont essayer de répondre en ligne; c’est une chance unique pour notre communauté de porter la discussion scientifique au delà d’une simple journée de conférence !
In June 2011 a colloque on Evolutionary Rescue was organized in Montpellier with the support of the French Ecological Society.
The aim of this conference was to synthesize recent advances improving our understanding of the role of evolutionary mechanisms in species responses to global change and of how these mechanisms may affect biodiversity patterns.
The video of this conference are online on our website since the month of october 2011 (one topic every week).
The video are open to comments and we hope you will participate to this very original experience of « virtual » conference by posting your questions.
The authors will try to respond online, this is a unique opportunity to bring the scientific discussion beyong the limit of a one day conference!
