Central to DWCT’s ‘Rewild Our World’ strategy are our ten global rewilding sites, two of which are in Madagascar: Madagascan wetlands and Madagascan dry forests. DWCT’s Madagascar Programme is our single largest investment, with a full-time workforce of over 70 employees
working in six field sites across the country.
This job is to oversee the effective implementation of Durrell’s field programmes in Madagascar, working with delivery teams to implement programme strategies, monitoring and reporting their progress and their review and adaptation. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring
grants are effectively managed and that operational processes are established to deliver them.
We are seeking an individual to coordinate the development and lead the implementation of programme strategies, including working with teams to develop workplans, monitor and review progress, adapt plans and strategies to ensure impact, with support of team members in Madagascar and the UK.
The desired candidate will have significant professional experience within a conservation programme management position or above. Fluent spoken and written French is essential, with English and Malagasy highly desirable and preferable experience of working in Madagascar.
